Course Schedule
Over the years, we have developed options in scheduling in an attempt to accommodate peoples' busy lives and family commitments. It is possible to complete the entire course in one year or to extend it over several years. Brief outlines of some of the options are given here, and additional information is available by calling the Center. In every scheduling option, the academic phase is completed before the practicum is begun so that students have the necessary skills and background to be actively engaged in a meaningful practicum experience right from the beginning.
One Summer
Two Summers
Take it all in one summer.
Classes meet for six weeks at Walnut Park Montessori School (near Boston). The academic session begins on Saturday and Sunday June 15 and 16 and then M-F June 17 through July 26th (closed June 19th and July 4th). Classes are held 8:00 to 5:00. The practicum could then be taken from September to June and the whole course could be completed in one year.
- or -
Take it in two summers.
The first session of the academic phase is taken the first summer, from June until the first week in July. The second session of the academic phase is taken the following summer, from the second week of July until the end of July. The course then becomes less intense because many of the assignments can be completed during the first year, even though the actual practicum begins after the second summer.
